This was a hit and miss for me. I finished it and while I enjoyed it if I had had any other books waiting for me I would have been drawn awhile easily. The beginning of the book draws you in. I enjoyed reading about Emily and Zane and his sister in the earlier years but I didn't feel any real connection between Zane and Darcy. One minute she's the Gardner and the next she's the leading lady with no build-up, no spark, no nada between them, just nothing. The takedown of Graham by Darcy was over so quickly. Threat from his past taken care of and them boom here comes the threat from her past. To neat, coincidental and no imagination. in the end, I finished the book and while it wasn't great it also wasn't horrible.
