I Must Say

My Life as a Humble Comedy Legend
Sep 10, 2015
I really enjoyed reading this book and only have praises for it. I found that this autobiography was very interesting and touching in comparison to the ones I have read before. It kept me engaged and intrigued until the end. My favourite part in the book was when the author talks about his childhood and his dreams as a kid. I enjoyed reading about how famous actors, actresses and other celebrities acted as kids. I found that this book was full of laughs and I enjoyed the experience. I was so happy when I learnt that Martin Short was a Canadian. I really liked how he added comedy at the right times to his book. Even though he added comedy, it did not appear to me that this book was a joke book. I loved the way he described Canada and how he would not have chosen comedy if it wasn’t for his Canadian heroes. The way the author tells his story made me feel like I was actually in the book with Martin. My favourite part of the book would have to be the introduction and making of the comic character that Martin uses. They were all so interesting and hilarious. It made me imagine the characters in real life. I found that the best character in his book was Ed Grimley just because of how unaware and unknowingly charming he was. I would have to give this book 4.5 out of 5 stars as I just could not keep this book down for even a second
