the Jackie Robinson Story

Not a mind-blowing experience, I'd say, since most casual baseball fans are already roughly familiar with the Jackie Robinson story (including, for us Canadians, the stint in Montreal) but really well-made for what it is, with strong performances from relative newcomer Chadwick Boseman as number 42, Harrison Ford (in a role he really makes his own despite the fact it was intended for "The Natural" himself, Robert Redford) as the Dodgers GM behind the groundbreaking move and, most surprisingly, Alan Tudyk of "Firefly" fame as the absolutely noxious racist coach of an opposing team.
