Add a CommentI was deeply moved by this tearful romance novel about a common man and a common woman who love each other with all their heart and soul. I admit that the writing is rather blunt (and a touch sappy at times), but the powerful story is deeply meaningful. "I am a common man with common thoughts, and I've led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but I've loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me, this has always been enough."
Lovely story..... One of the best love story's I've ever read, defiantly a must read!
A delightful tale of the truest of love and the best of human nature it promotes. Noah and Allie, teenage lovers, separated by war and for 10 years. rediscover each other just as Allie is to marry Lon, upright but not a rugged lover. With twists, true love prevails. And then the real twist – fast forward to the present where aged Noah and Alzheimer patient Allie are in a care home, and you discover the real meaning of true love.
Noah and Allie come from different lifestyles and fall in love. The couple goes through a lot but nothing keeps them apart. - Franchesca, Teen Volunteer
Nicholas Sparks has to be one of my all time favorite authors. I love how his books make you laugh, cry, and even get upset with the characters. The Notebook is a must read, even after watching the movie. I love the characters in this story and cannot even imagine having to make some of the decision they went through in the book. Also the heartache he must feel everyday. This is definitely a must read book!
Beautiful love story.
This is a wonderful love story and surprised it's written by a man as it's very romantic and written with a happy ever after ending. Some would say too sappy or too blissful even amidst trials...is it hopeful or unrealistic?
I usually dont cry, but this book brought tears to my eyes. Nicholas Sparks made this novel hard to put dowb.
loved this book! it was very sad :(
A beautiful love story that spans the lifetime of two distinct individuals from opposite sides of the tracks. Set against the backdrop of WWII, this story allows readers to witness the love of Noah and Allie, showing that love can conquer the many obstacles that are put in front of it.
