enjoyed the artwork, cute story, sweet and profound ending

Building a story by building action is a great way to get kids excited for a book. I'm not entirely sure this one does it well enough though. Formatting complications and an odd progression of events make this story's build-up feel stilted and clouded by an even weirder moral when all is said and done.

This is a fun adventure story, featuring animals with different personalities and points of view, who all end up on an unintended adventure together. A good group read aloud for PrK-2nd grade.

Great story about having a adventure even if you think everything is going downstream.

This is a beautifully written and illustrated story. Get outside, make new friends, have an adventure and essentially enjoy the ride!
