Perfection is overrated. Smith is all about embracing reality-- especially when it comes to decorating a home bursting with boys, pets, and all the unpredictable messes of life. By embracing the natural imperfection and chaos of daily living, you will learn how to think differently about the true purpose of your home and simply and creatively tailor it to reflect you and your unique style-- without breaking the bank or stressing over comparisons.

This book is not about specific decorating ideas; instead it is about the thinking that goes behind those decisions. The author is Christian and there is a bit of theology in it.

I loved this book because it gives you ideas that get you thinking creatively about your own space. There are things you can incorporate right away, regardless of your budget or space. There are not really tutorials on specific projects, but the author's blog covers those things. It's about her learning how to make her space feel like her own, even as she and her family move from one rental to the next. And, that perfection is not required.
