This book, although original was extremely weird. The characters were incredibly vague and hard to relate to. It made it an even harder read, due to the fact that the story line was based upon two different point of views, one of whom is the past of a dead girl. New girl and Max's relationship, was extremely hard to follow, and I though it quite weird that at the end of the book, Max randomly calls New Girl- Caliie ( then i realized that that was her name-----weird). It also had no plot, which made it all the harder to sit through.

I found this book very weird, and repetitive. The characters (especially Max and Johnny) I found to be under-developed, and Becca was very shallow, cold, and manipulative. I might have enjoyed the New Girl more, if she had been given more things to do...I don't know exactly, but I felt as if she was doing nothing but complaining about how she wasn't liked at school. I usually don't write comments after I read books, (especially after reading one I didn't like all that much) but I must say, the last 30 pages or so, picks up, and from there, I felt like "OK, now we're getting somewhere!"
However, even with the action-filled last pages (our main character FINALLY makes a decision between FSU and BU) it just wasn't enough to make me like this book. Suspenseful in parts, but characters aren't very fleshed out, the scenery is the same (New Hampshire is cold. We get it) and it all makes for a very odd book.

I enjoyed this book. I noticed the same thing about the name which didn't bother me until one point where I could just not remember her name, when I realized I didn't know it. It switches back and forth between two characters in two different times, but it didn't confuse me and added a lot to the book. It kept me interested and in suspense.

thats true. I said the exact 2 myself

At the end of the book I found out that till then no where in the book it said her name. When Max says Callie I was like "What the heck, they didn't even say her name till now". So I skimmed the whole book and never saw her name anywhere. Is that actually true or is it just me?
